Step 7: Pre-handover inspection
Before we hand over the keys, we walk through your new home with you. It’s your chance to check every room, ask questions and point out anything that needs attention.

What happens at pre-handover
- We walk through the home together, room by room
- We check finishes, fixtures, fittings and appliances
- We note anything that needs fixing or finishing
- We agree on a plan and timeframe to complete those items

Tips for your inspection
You’re also welcome to bring an independent building inspector. [CLIENT TO CONFIRM: that this is welcome.]
- Take your time and don’t feel rushed
- Bring a copy of your plans and selections
- Check doors, windows, taps and power points
- Look at walls, ceilings and floors in good light
- Write everything down, or take photos

Fixing items before handover
We work through the agreed list and let you know when everything’s done, so your home is ready when you move in.
